Print 300 unique barcodes from Excel on a Zebra

Published: · 3 min read · How-to
Do this in the free app: app.mylabelmaker.com. No signup. Design the label, then print on a Zebra or download PNG / PDF / ZPL.

Need a few hundred unique barcodes on a ZD421 without buying ZebraDesigner Pro? Design one 2×1 (or your stock size), put {{code}} in a native barcode, load the Excel/CSV, preview a few rows, then print the stack. Open the free label maker to do it now.

Good to know: We process the sheet in your browser. We do not store the Excel file. Unique does not mean GS1-issued. Use codes you own.

How to print 300 unique barcodes from Excel on a Zebra

  1. Put each unique code in one Excel column (serial, SKU, or asset id). Save as CSV if you like.
  2. Open the free label maker and set the size to your stock (often 2×1).
  3. Add a native CODE128 barcode (not an Excel font) and map {{code}} to that column.
  4. Preview row 1 and row 300. Print one test, then the stack on a ZD421 / ZD621, or export ZPL / PDF.

Why Pro is not required

ZebraDesigner Essentials blocks database connect. Pro unlocks it for a fee. The browser path is: CSV → tokens → one job per row. Same 300 labels, no seat.

Print or save

Zebra thermal: print from the browser with Browser Print at the printer’s DPI. Everyone else: download PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF, or ZPL. JSON keeps the editable master.

Print from your spreadsheet
