Zebra print job stuck in the queue

Published: · 3 min read · Problem
Do this in the free app: app.mylabelmaker.com. No signup. Design the label, then print on a Zebra or download PNG / PDF / ZPL.

A job sitting in the Windows queue usually means the spooler died, the printer went offline, or a previous ZPL never finished. Clear the queue, then send one job. Open the free label maker to do it now.

Good to know: Deleting spool files requires the spooler to be stopped. Do not delete random folders. Zebra documents this procedure.

How to fix it

  1. Open the free label maker. No signup.
  2. Set the label size to the exact width and length of the roll in the printer.
  3. Calibrate the gap or black-mark sensor if you just changed stock.
  4. Print one test label. Do not send a whole stack until it looks right.

Bypass the Windows queue

Browser Print talks to the device without the old ZebraDesigner driver stack. If the Win32 queue keeps dying after updates, use the browser path for daily labels.

Print or save

After the test looks right, print the rest from the same design. Save a JSON copy so you can open it again later.

Fix it in the free app

Set the size, print one test label, no account.
